V 3.4 Startup time issue.
Hi.

I just got the 3.4 pro version of the program and i have to say i' m very satisfied.
There's only one downside and i hope you can fix it in future versions:
The start up time on my windows 7 (x64) was ~ 17 seconds.
With battery bar toolbar ~30 seconds (almost twice).
That doesn't happen with the floating toolbar tho. only as a windows toolbar.

Best regards

Cienight.

RE: V 3.4 Startup time issue.
I have had some people report this, though I haven't been able to duplicate the issue. I run Windows 7 x86 on my development machine and I haven't noticed the delay. Most likely this is caused by the .NET Framework being loaded into memory during startup to run the toolbar.

The only way around this that I can think of right now is to turn off the toolbar when you shutdown the laptop and then turn it back on after you restart.

Personally, I very rarely do a Shut Down. My system is set to sleep then hibernate when I close the lid. I only do a shut down/restart to install Windows updates or when a program install requires it.

Thanks for the tip. However try to duplicate the issue on a x64 machine.

RE: V 3.4 Startup time issue.
Ok found what it was causing it.Ive had superfetch disabled.Enabling it bring load times back to noram.I guess prefetching might come handy after all.

Thanks for reporting that. The next time I hear about this issue I'll know what to tell people.
